A Cum Laude graduate with high honors, Dr. George received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. A member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Epsilon Delta honor society, he received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. After completing an internship and medical residency in Internal Medicine at Washington University Medical Center at St. Louis, he completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Indiana University Medical Center at Indianapolis.

An active researcher and published author, Dr. George has received several academic honors such as the Neurology Award, ASCO Merit Award, and Chief Fellow. In addition, he is a member of several professional societies such as the Texas Medical Society, Travis County Medical Society, and American Society of Clinical Oncology. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology, Dr. George is in private practice with the Southwest Regional Cancer Center.
